David Gauntlett compared Web 1.0 and 2.0 to each other. He came up with the idea that web 1.0 are individual allotments and Web 2.0 is a shared garden. Web 2.0 allowed people to share different ideas and work together. For instance, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter all work together to allow their users to share and recieve on each of its sites. It allowed people to connect together.
Gaunlett also shares the ideas that before Web 2.0 was established,Web 1.0 portrayed this idea that there were 'Media Gods' that handed down the media assecibility to the 'little people'. This meant that media was only available if the 'Media Gods' wanted them to recieve it and for it to be available to them. This can be reinforced because the Media headquatres had huge church like buildings that could be intimidating to people.
Web 1.0 has been renound for people having to schedule their lives around media and social online events where as web 2.0 is seen as being a lot more user friendly. This means that people are able to view things online instead of having to be in a specific place at the right to be view something.
Web 2.0 is readiliy available now, this has realised Tim Berners-Lee dream of an interenet where everything is connected. 'Web 1.0 is connecting computers, Web 2.0 is about connecting people'
