A shower is an everyday activity and isn't considered unusual. So the fact tha she was killed in the shower is very suspicious. The water pounding on the bath also drowns out any noise.

The eye symbolises death and hope. Hope because the eye is still open which may symbolise life and death because they eye isn't blinking their is no movement in the body.  The tear symbolises fear and anger. She was being killed and was scared.

The newspaper has various symbolic ideas. On the front of the newspaper it says 'OKAY'- this is ironic and the woman who owns the newspaper has just been murderd and she's not 'OKAY'.

She also hasn't had a chance to read the newspaper and it's still folded properly and clearly been untouched.

Also, if found the woman who has just been murdered will be in the newspaper.
